Assam Carbon Products Ltd is the leading manufacturer of carbon and carbon related mechanical products in India. The company was founded in 1963 at Bamunimaidan, Guwahati, Assam.

The company was a subsidiary of Morgans UK till 2016. In 2016, the present management acquired the shareholding of Morgans UK after Morgans UK decided to exit the Indian carbon business.

Currently, the major shareholders of the company are Mr.Shaurya Veer Himatsingka with 31.53% shares and Mr.RakeshHimatsingka with 28.90% shareholding and company has no subsidiary as on 31-March-2021.

The demand for helmets is projected to grow at a double-digit rate over the next few years as traffic norms become stricter and organized players increase their market share, while sales of premium vehicles are also on the rise.

Company Business:

  • The Company is one of the market leaders in Electrical & Mechanical Carbon Products, with interests in manufacturing of Carbon blocks of various grades.
  • It manufactures a complete range of Carbon brushes for Railways and Industrial uses. Its Railway Traction products include Pantograph, Current Collectors & SIG Contacts. Mechanical Carbon Division produces Carbon Seals, Bearings, Vanes, and Thrust Pads.
  • The finishing unit near Hyderbad is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art machines to offer customers products as per their specific requirements.
  • ) Speciality Graphite Division of the Company offers solutions of the Diamond Tool industry, Optical fiber manufacturing, Hard metal sintering, and Electronic industry.
  • The Company also manufactures various kinds of Graphite products Viz., Hi-Temp Insulator, Fuel Cells, Heating Elements, Casting Dyes, Lubricating Blocks, and other such items as per the need of the Customers. Aegis – the world’s most effective shaft grounding brush is also provided by the Company
